Flowers in a Frame

Since I'm not sure the snow and cold temperatures are ever going to end here in Michigan, I'm doing my best to think spring! I put together this little craft that's filled with bright greens and white flowers. Anything to hurry spring along a little!
I stopped at the dollar store the other day and grabbed a bunch of flowers and some reindeer moss. I had a few ideas in mind for the moss. This project wasn't one of them. But sometimes your creativity takes a different direction than planned once you sit down to work on something. I usually just roll with it!

The first thing I did was paint a thrift store frame in Spring Hill Green from CeCe Caldwell. It's such a cheery color. And with spring right in the name, how could I go wrong? I lightly painted it, not covering the frame fully. On the inside trim, I added a touch of Coral Reef from American Paint Company. You can see it just a little bit in the photo above.

Next, I drilled 6 holes into the bottom of the frame, for my flower stems to fit into. I cut my flowers to the desired length and then added a touch of hot glue on the ends, pushing them into the drilled holes. I hot glued a piece of burlap onto the back of the frame and trimmed off the excess. Next, I simply added some hot glue to the bottom of the frame and burlap and placed some moss onto the glue.

It only took me about 20 minutes to make this little frame and costs less than $4 total.
