Vintage Marketplace Sign

Painted Sign for Caledonia Vintage Marketplace via http://deniseonawhim.blogspot.com
I realized today that I never showed you all the sign we made for the store where we have our booth. Silly me!
When Stephanie, the owner of Caledonia Vintage Marketplace, asked me if I would be interested in making a sign for the store, I was pretty taken aback. There a quite a few talented vendors at the store and I was surprised she asked On a Whim to make her sign.

You may already know that I make commercial signs for a living. But it's usually with vinyl and metal, not paint and wood. And they're never distressed and shabby looking like the signs we make at On a Whim.

I enjoy making both kinds of signs. The bright printed vinyl signs and lighted sign faces I make for businesses during the day are a lot of fun. But I really love making the distressed pallet wood and burlap signs we make for homes at On a Whim!

We make them all the time and here are a few examples...
Burlap Love Sign
Chippy Window Burlap Winter Sign
Apple Picking Pallet Sign
Harvest Pallet Signs
Oh What Love Can Do Sign

I love finding new quotes, using song lyrics, or coming up with my own phrases for signs. And people really seem to love them.

But I rarely get to design what I know is going to be a shabby sign for a business!

The owner of the store was very pleased. And so were we!
