I just adore enamelware!
So when I realized I had two matching pieces, I knew I needed to get busy making a tiered stand!
I picked up these 2 enamelware pieces at different times.
One was stuck in a cupboard and I didn't realize I had it!
When I was cleaning out my work space
(yes, that occasionally does happen!)
I found the pie plate.
And then realized I had a matching bowl! How fantastic! So I got out a candlestick holder that I had purchased at a thrift store.
It came apart easily and, with dowels in each piece, was perfectly made for the tiered stand!
After painting the holder with Destin Gulf Green,
I simply measured and marked the center of the pie plate and bowl
and drilled a hole big enough for the dowels to fit through.
Here is the top of the stand...
And the base...I added some epoxy where the enamelware would touch the wooden candlestick holder.
After the epoxy dried overnight, I had a great little tiered stand!
Let's keep in touch...
