I always decorate the wall in my dining room for the holidays.
This year, I began with a large chalkboard I had made out of a mirror frame.
From that, my dining room wall became a Christmas Gallery Wall!
I hate the wallpaper in my dining room!
So after I placed the chalkboard in position, I knew I needed to add something more
to help cover up the hideous background!
I grabbed a bunch of old frames from my garage.
They all need a little bit of shoring up so I haven't used them for any projects yet.
But I knew that with just a little temporary fixing, I could use them on my wall.
After strengthening up any loose corners,
I added some dropcloth to each frame.
Then I added embellishments,
like my twig stars.
This frame is adorned with an upcycled wreath.
The wreath is the bike tire from my daughter's toddler bike.
I wrapped it in burlap and added a few poinsettias.
The books are wrapped up in twine to resemble a present.
And there you have my little Christmas Gallery Wall.
Hope you've enjoyed looking at it as much as I do!

Another fabulous frame sits behind a small tree.
And, finally, I added this shutter backed with dropcloth and burlap
to fill the remainder of the wall.
The big, red chalkboard that I started with sits on an old wooden stand.
I hung some of the white ornaments underneath the stand.
A rusty metal bowl is filled with more pine cones and a sparkly snowflake.
A vintage Pepsi crate holds a picture of my kids.
The little Christmas tree sits on another crate with a small Santa.
And under the crate I added some red books and two frosted pears. The books are wrapped up in twine to resemble a present.
And there you have my little Christmas Gallery Wall.
Hope you've enjoyed looking at it as much as I do!
