Sometimes I sit on a piece of junk or, in this case,
a piece of chippy old wood, for ages before I finally decide on the right repurpose for it.
I've had this fabulous chippy, aqua piece of wood for some time and I finally got around to making a table out of it!
was just so darn pretty with it's chippy aqua-ness that I was a little afraid of it.
My building skills are coming along nicely, if I do say so myself.
But I'm still kind of making things up as I go along.
So the very thought of drilling holes into this and not having it work out frightened me.
But I got it right and couldn't be happier with how nice and sturdy this table is!
I'm getting more and more comfortable building furniture-type things
each time I try my hand at it.
And I think the chippy wood is perfectly happy being part of a table again!

The truth is, sometimes I find a piece of junk so incredibly gorgeous
that I don't want to rush into anything and ruin the beauty of it.
This piece of wood, that was probably the drop leaf on a table before, was just so darn pretty with it's chippy aqua-ness that I was a little afraid of it.
