I created this fun little side table with a metal piece from a factory
that had been sitting in my garage, collecting just the right amount of rust!
It was very simply to make this table.
I cut 2 boards slightly wider than the top of the metal structure.
After adding lots of polyurethane to the wood,
I drilled holes and attached it with bolts to the holes that were already in the metal base.
As you can see, I chose a board with a little bit of character on the edge.
And the rust on the table is actually quite gorgeous,
assuming you like rust, as I do!
The table is a great height for sitting next to a sofa.
