Flea Market Pallet Sign

Fun Retro-Style Pallet Sign from Denise on a Whim
You must know by now that I love a good flea market!
I mean, really, is there anyone out there doesn't?
Oodles and oodles of junk just waiting to be scooped up and reborn.
What's not to love!?!

Of course, I also love signs.
And pallet wood.
So I figured it was about time I combined all of those loves
and make a flea market pallet sign!
Making pallet signs is pretty darn easy.
Cut some boards to size,
cut a couple of back pieces to attach them all together.
Use a little wood glue and nails
and you're done.Fun Pallet Sign from Denise on a Whim
The hard part?
Breaking apart those pallets!
Man, is that some hard work!

But, once you've got them apart
(and taken a break to rest your weary bones!)
the rest is simple.

For this sign, I used a sign I had pinned as inspiration for my graphic.
I painted the background in Home Plate from American Paint Company.
I left some of the original wood showing on the edges though.

Next, I applied my vinyl stencil
and used Emperor's Silk and Barcelona Orange from Annie Sloan
along with Santa Fe Turquoise from CeCe Caldwell.

The end result is bright and cheery,
which is exactly how I'm feeling lately!
