My kids are always asking me, "how many days until {insert event here}?" So when I saw a clever countdown sign, I knew I had to recreate it! This version uses a frame from the dollar store and a printed graphic behind the glass. Cheap and easy. My favorite kind of project (especially with the hustle and bustle of the holidays!).
Here's the project. I am loving my daughter's adorable 18, with the sled as the bottom of the 1 and the snowman 8! She's a pretty clever little gal!
When I saw DeDe's cute countdown frame over at Designed Decor, I knew it was the perfect addition to my family's Christmas decor! I bought a brown frame at the dollar store and gave it a quick coat of Vintage White.
I designed a cute 8" x 10" insert in Adobe Illustrator, printed it on an inkjet printer and inserted it into the frame. That was it. The project was done! Just use a dry erase marker to fill in the info. The dollar store also had dry erase markers (and I didn't have any at home) so the whole project only cost $2! So easy but my kids absolutely love it! And the best part is, I can use a different graphic for counting down the days to birthdays and other holidays, too! Perfect!
And just in case you love the design and want to use it for your very own Christmas Countdown Frame, you can download the cute printable here.
Are you counting down the days until Christmas? I know I am. I just love Christmas morning!
