Chunky frames. I love them. And I don't find nearly enough of them. So, sometimes I just create my own, like this litlte guy!
For the base, I took an old MDF cupboard door and added a super light layer of Graphite, then took most of it right back off with a damp rag. Next I dry-brushed some Aubusson over that.
The 8x10 thrift store frame I attached to the cupboard door was already a gray and cream combination and I didn't change a thing about that.
I simply added a nail to the cupboard door and hung the frame on that with a folded piece of burlap I had attached to the back of it. Then I added some glue so it wouldn't fall off.
The lettering is cut vinyl that I applied right onto the glass in the frame.
Pretty easy project but I just love the results! A frame with a lot of substance! :)
