Chunky frames. I love them. And I don't find nearly enough of them. So, sometimes I just create my own, like this litlte guy!

The Chalkboard with a Magnetic Personality
I found this cheval mirror frame at an auction. There was no mirror in it when I bought it, unless one small shattered piece in the bottom corner counts. The frame itself was in good shape, so I snagged it up for a steal, just knowing it would be a great upcycle project!

Steam and Gas Engines
This weekend the kids and I stopped by the Clarksville Steam and Gas Engine Association Show. We took some fun pics so I thought I'd share them with you today.

Shabby Little Shelves
This little shabby shelf was once just a lowly frame with an ugly picture and a broken mirror. And now it's a fabulous blue shelving unit! The mirror wasn't originally broken, but I broke it when I removed it from the frame. Oops. I guess it's seven year's bad luck for me. Now, isn't that just great! :)
But enough about my misfortunes. On to the project.

Industrial Cabinet Goodness!
Some of my favorite decor pieces are industrial. I just love the look of metal and wood together in perfect harmony. And, if you ask me, we don't do nearly enough of them! But I'm sharing one with you today that I hope you like!

Junk Style Vase
I love it when I find a cute use for my stash of tin cans. I sometimes feel like such a hoarder when I look at the little corner of my kitchen counter where I have clean cans and jars. But the hoarding feels worth it when I finally use one to make something, like this cute little flower vase from an old slotted metal spoon, a tin can and a piece of scrap wood.

Chippy Dresser with Hinged Front
Today I'm sharing my first chippy piece of furniture with you. I really love the chippy look, but I've never tried my hand at it before. I really like the way it turned out and I hope you do too! Let's have a peek, shall we...

Finally Buying a Few Pieces for Me!
I finally did it! I bought something for me to keep. I normally see things that I like and want for myself but pass them up to buy goodies I can use for our business. But not this time!

Fair Time!
Happy Saturday to you all!
This week I've been at our county fair. I volunteer down here and it's a busy week for me. But I thought I'd pop in to say hello and share some fun pics with you.
Enjoy!

Guest Posting at Art is Beauty
I'm excited to be guest posting today at Art is Beauty! The very lucky Karin, who paints some of the most pretty pieces of furniture, has packed her bags and went to Ireland (like I said, LUCKY!) and I'm doing a little filling in for her. Although I haven't packed any luggage lately, I did paint some! I'll be showing off a vintage suitcase table, all prettied up with CeCe Caldwell paints. Join me at Art is Beauty to check out this fun project. See you there!
