Harlequin Box

I picked this darling little box up at a barn sale. The lady actually repurposes things herself and has a booth at a store not far away from here. For the life of me, I can't figure out why she got rid of this little goodie because I am loving how it turned out!

Here is a pic of it before (sort of). As always, I got excited about painting it and forgot a before. lol. But you can see the most important part... the hideous formica fronts on the box! Eww!

The first thing I did was get into my scrapbook paper stash. I found this great harlequin print and knew it would be perfect!

After I picked the paper out, I painted the box in Graphite.

I added some Pittsburgh Grey over that.

I just love these little hinges :)

For the inside, I used Old White.

After waxing the paint, I Mod Podged the paper I had trimmed to size. 

Here it is sitting atop a vintage crate with the tall meadow grass behind it.

The little old bottles add some vintage charm.
